We were consultants for the Migration of Virgin Trains IPF VAS application from Legacy System to new infrastructure. We setup a clustered database with central file repository on NAS, with HP Clustering at operation system level.
We developed a full backup of current production system for restore to new Test, Development and Production platforms. We planned, documented and completed the installation of MS SQL Server 2008 on a new infrastructure as well as for the setup of a new SQL Server maintenance plan on all systems, with MS SQL Server database mirroring on test and development systems as opposed to Operating System Clustering on Production only.
We planned, documented and completed the installation of a standalone Oracle database on all environments to contain LDAP type user base. We made progressive improvement of Database performance by addressing the infrastructure and other error message produced regarding SQL tuning and network through put in the SQL error logs.
We set up SSIS, SQL Server Data Quality Services and SQL Server Master Data Services, tuned the resultant underlying database.
