T-Systems were moving over 8000 application servers from Data centres in Southbury, United States to AppCom virtual Data Centres in Frankfurt, London and various locations throughout Europe. We moved and upgraded SAP , Non-SAP, Siebel and Performance Testing applications from Southbury to Frankfurt. We Planned and Migrated management using Prince2 methodologies. We encompassed being lead DBA, App Server and SOA DBA, took on Team Leadership with Project Management responsibilities for each of the assigned applications migrated (Prince2), ETL tools via Oracle and SQL server, all in full use during this project. We set up new database links and oracle streams to assist with testing, reporting and application sanity tests, as well as being the direct liaison and cooperation with all the operational teams.
This was a very structured and process driven project. This was consultancy work done on behalf of Philips for 3 end customers, including; Philips, Shell and Deutsche Bank.
