We had a consultation about the Oracle infrastructure, documentation of the physical RAC environment within the MDS third party supplier cloud host. We then analysed the current system and document the CMO (Current mode of Operations).
A large part of the project was the cloning of databases using an applicable discipline between environments for a wide range of functional areas, including design and setting up database environments for each discipline (UAT, Test, Development, Pre Production and Production), downloading the store and correct Oracle Binaries to a central repository, automating installations, assisting in the population of databases, tracking and reporting.
The project undertaken was completed with PRINCE2 and ITIL standards adhered too.
All milestones were stuck to and Change Management was key when doing any work on the environments.
